The Great Wall Marathon & Half Marathon will be held in the picturesque and unspoiled surroundings of Chinas Tianjin Province.
This is probably one of the most beautiful and extraordinary marathons ever. A little tougher than a usual course - but no extraordinary experience is obtained ordinarily.
The Great Wall Marathon is a very demanding course with exhausting ascents, steep descents and more than 3700 steps to conquer. But runners will also be taken on a flat and scenic route through beautiful farmlands and small picturesque villages.
The Half Marathon course takes runners on the Great Wall and through the fascinating scenery surrounding it. The experience will be no less - just half as long. Focus of The Great Wall Marathon is on experiencing a unique adventure and not on setting new records. A fascinating tour combining an adventurous and demanding challenge with relaxing visits to some of Chinas most fascinating monuments.

The coolest marathon on earth!

Official Tour Operator

Welcome to a tough, unique marathon in truly magnificent scenery. The Polar Circle Marathon often referred to as “the coolest marathon on earth” takes place in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. The endless ice and snow of this vast country make up the backdrop of this unusual race, in which runners pass glacier tongues, moraine landscapes and soundless, arctic desert.

A part of the route takes place on the slippery ice cap itself, but the

main part of the course is run on the gravel road (often snow covered) that connects the Greenland ice cap with the small township of Kangerlussuaq, just north of the Polar Circle.

The weather in Greenland in October is normally beautiful and not too cold. Sunshine is the order of the day, though the occasional light snowfall may occur. Expect average temperatures of around -5º C / 25º F.

The Polar Circle Marathon® is the perfect way to combine a special running event with exploring one of the most remote and beautiful corners of the world.
